How does car shipping work?

If you’ve never shipped a car before, we know you may have questions. Our car relocation services are simple: just schedule your transport date with our team. We will pick up your vehicle or arrange for you to drop it off at one of our terminals. We will then load it onto one of our carriers and drive it to your destination. We have terminals throughout the United States. We offer front-door delivery in most situations. Do you need to store your vehicle while you manage your move? No problem. You can store with us; we’ll even wash your car before you pick it up.

How do I prepare my car for transport?

Remove your personal belongings, including anything that can be carried from the vehicle. Bring it to us with less than a quarter tank of gas. Consider taking pictures to verify its condition prior to shipment. We’ll handle the rest!

Is my vehicle protected while transporting?

Chips Transport is fully insured against in-transit damage caused by equipment failure or carrier negligence. We also have a carefully trained team who knows how to safely ship vehicles. Finally, we offer tracking, with daily updates so you can always locate your vehicle.

Can you move vehicles across town?

If you have a short distance move, we can handle it quickly or even the same day! Each move is unique, so please contact us for a custom quote.

How much does it cost to ship my vehicle?

We provide you with a custom quote based on the vehicle, distance, and other factors. At Chips, we promise that there will be no hidden charges.

How far can you ship my vehicle?

We ship vehicles coast-to-coast, north-to-south, overseas, too. The distance affects the cost and the delivery date, but no distance is too great for Chips Transport Service. We can ship just about anywhere; contact us for a quote.

Where is my vehicle right now?

Most of our carriers have a GPS tracker, which provides daily updates on the location of your vehicle. You will know where it is and when to expect it at your final destination. This gives you peace of mind while your vehicle is on the move with Chips.

Do you offer door-to-door delivery?

Yes! As long as there are no physical obstructions or traffic laws that prevent it, we can deliver your customer’s car right to their door. Otherwise, we can arrange pick up at one of our terminals.

Can I pick up my own car after transport?

Yes, you can pick up the vehicle instead of having it delivered; the process is simple. Just let us know who has permission to pick up the car and we will have it ready at one of our many terminals.
